The Siedle App for Access functions as a mobile extension of the Siedle Access door intercom system, converting an iPhone or iPad into a remote monitoring and control device. Users can view real-time video footage of visitors at the door, communicate with them via audio, and remotely operate the door lock—regardless of their location. Connectivity is established through WLAN or mobile networks such as 3G, with immediate access to live video feeds. The voice communication quality adheres to Siedle’s high standards, and the door can be unlocked effortlessly by tapping a familiar icon.

Beyond intercom functionality, the app also supports various switching and control functions, including activation of door openers, lighting systems, garage doors, and blinds. These operations are securely encrypted to ensure safety and privacy.

It is important to note that the app transmits audio signals via VoIP over the mobile data channel, which may be unavailable or incur charges depending on the user’s mobile contract. The quality of audio communication depends on current network conditions.

As a supplementary interface, the Siedle App does not replace indoor units; Siedle recommends maintaining a wired indoor station for comprehensive functionality and reliability.
